Non-commercial. Attributed. Removable on request.

BibleCast is, and will remain, a non-commercial project. Every module is either public domain or distributed with clear attribution to its rightsholder, for personal, congregational, and educational use.

Commercial use requires contacting the rightsholder directly. Rightsholders may request takedown at any time and we act promptly.

Module protection

Translation text cannot be extracted

Every module file is protected with strong industry-standard encryption (AES-256-GCM) — without the embedded key, the file is unreadable binary data.

Modules are decrypted only in memory while the app is running. No readable text is ever written to disk.

The macOS app is code-signed and notarized by Apple. Any modification to the binary breaks the signature and blocks launch.

American Standard Version(1901)

The American Standard Version, which was also known as The American Revision of 1901, is rooted in the work begun in 1870 to revise the Authorized Version/King James Bible of 1611. The translation type is formal equivalence based on Westcott and Hort (1881) and Tregelles (1857) Greek text (for NT), and Masoretic Text with some Septuagint influence (for OT).

King James Version(1769)

The King James Version, also known as the Authorized Version (AV) or the King James Bible (KJB), is an English translation of the Christian Bible, supported by king James I for the Church of England, begun in 1604 and completed in 1611. The translation is based on Textus Receptus (for NT) and Masoretic Text (for OT). This is the standard text of 1769 extensively re-edited by Benjamin Blayney at Oxford.

English Standard Version(2016)

The English Standard Version is an English translation of the Christian Bible published by Crossway Bibles in 2016. It is a revision of the 1971 edition of the Revised Standard Version. The translators’ stated purpose was to follow an “essentially literal” translation philosophy.

New International Version(2011)

New International Version is an English translation of the Protestant Bible published by Biblica (formerly the International Bible Society). Originally released in the 1970s, the NIV was updated in 1984 and 2011, and has become one of the most popular and best selling modern translations. The translation type is mixed formal and dynamic equivalence, based on Nestle-Aland Greek text and Masoretic Hebrew Text.

New King James Version is a translation of the Bible published by HarperCollins (a subsidiary of News Corp). The New Testament was published in 1979, the Psalms in 1980, and the full Bible in 1982. The translation type is formal equivalence based on Textus Receptus (for NT) and Masoretic Text with Septuagint influence (for OT).

The New Living Translation is a translation of the Bible in contemporary English. This is the 2015 edition published by Tyndale House Foundation. The NLT relies on recently published critical editions of the original Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek texts.
